Planning your visit to Aït Ben Haddou

A quick visit can be completed in around one hour.
However, if you wish to explore the ksar in greater depth, climb to the communal granary, visit a family home, spend time at the Maison de l’Oralité or take a break at Tawesna, it is best to allow between two and three hours.
Where can you park?
Several parking areas are available near the ksar, along the road in the newer part of the village. Parking usually costs 3 dirhams, payable to the attendant responsible for the parking area.
The ksar itself lies below the modern village, on the opposite side of the riverbed, which is often dry for much of the year.
